Teni Wellness Package review featuring Chike and Olamide

Teni: The Wellness Package — A Soulful Project That Trades Party Vibes for Peace

There are albums you play to turn up, and there are albums you play when life gets a little too loud. Teni’s The Wellness Package belongs to the second category.

If you’re expecting the energetic Teni behind hits like Case and Billionaire, you may be caught off guard at first, Theartisteguide reports.

But give this project a chance, and you’ll discover an artist who isn’t trying to dominate the dancefloor—she’s trying to speak to your mind and your heart.

Teni Wellness Package: Music That Makes You Pause and Reflect

From the opening track, Meditation, it becomes clear that Teni had one mission with this project: remind people to slow down, breathe, and appreciate life.

The Wellness Package by Teni

This is not an EP packed with club bangers or viral TikTok hooks. Instead, it’s a collection of songs built around healing, hope, self-worth, gratitude, and enjoying every moment while you still can.

What’s even more impressive is how every song feels connected. The messages repeat in different forms—be wise, don’t lose yourself because of money, tomorrow isn’t guaranteed, find your peace—but it never feels like Teni is preaching. It feels more like she’s having an honest conversation with you.

Yes, some listeners may feel the themes become repetitive, but that’s also the beauty of The Wellness Package. Rather than chasing different sounds just to impress, Teni sticks to one clear idea and explores it from different angles.

The production also deserves credit.

Across the seven tracks, the album blends reggae, Afro-fusion, acoustic guitars, amapiano, highlife influences, soft piano melodies and even subtle country-inspired elements. The result is a calm listening experience that fits the album’s title perfectly.

Track-by-Track Teni Wellness Package Review

Meditation

The first few seconds made me pause.

“Reggae? Okay… let’s see where this is going.”

At first, it almost sounded like something made for Bob Marley fans. But once Teni started singing, the lyrics completely changed my perspective.

The production is soft and gentle, driven by acoustic guitars and reggae-inspired rhythms that immediately create a peaceful atmosphere.

Vocally, Teni keeps everything calm and controlled. You could even mistake it for a love song until you pay attention to what she’s actually saying.

The message is powerful.

Meditation encourages mental wellness, emotional resilience, positive thinking and accepting yourself despite life’s challenges.

The standout lyrics instantly stay with you:

“What goes up must surely come down… That’s gravity. Gat to keep your energy… That’s the mentality.”

It’s one of those songs you’ll happily replay during a long journey, while relaxing with a drink or simply when life feels overwhelming.

There’s honestly nothing to complain about here.

Face Front

This song starts with an interesting blend of country and reggae influences that initially left me wondering where it was heading.

The production is decent but never truly grabs your attention. It simply exists without delivering those memorable moments that make you want to keep coming back.

Still, Teni carries the record well.

Her use of Yoruba gives the song personality, although listeners who don’t understand the language may miss some of the deeper meaning.

Lyrically, it’s another uplifting song about perseverance, healing and believing that brighter days are ahead.

The line:

“Don’t cry no more, ’cause joy is coming and we shall celebrate.” perfectly sums up the entire record. It’s comforting rather than exciting.

Not a bad song, just not one that will dominate radio playlists.

Wise (feat. The Cavemen)

This was where the mood changed completely. The moment the beat dropped, I found myself moving my legs almost immediately like I’m being remote controlled.

The song carries beautiful Spanish guitar melodies mixed with basslines that surprisingly give it a slight Mexican flavour.

It’s impossible not to move. Teni once again opens with Yoruba before switching naturally into Pidgin, making the message easier to connect with.

The Cavemen added nice background textures and complement the record well, although I honestly expected more from their verse.

The message is straightforward:

– Life gives you only one chance
– Be wise.
– Don’t waste it.

The chorus is incredibly catchy.

“Wise oh! You better wise oh! This life na once oh!”

My biggest complaint?

Well, the song ended far too quickly. Just when the chorus begins to sink in, it’s over. I wasn’t actually happy about that personally.

Wuru Manya (feat. Chike)

This is the masterpiece of The Wellness Package.

The moment Chike introduced the song and the amapiano rhythm kicked in, I was sold.

Everything works — the production, the vocals, the chemistry, the beat, the message, everything!

Teni and Chike complement each other beautifully, but Teni ultimately steals the show with her effortless delivery.

Even while writing this review, this was the song I kept playing on repeat.

Its message is simple yet powerful:

– Life is short.
– Stop worrying about tomorrow.
– Don’t waste today.
– Don’t create unnecessary burdens.
– Live your life while you still can.

The chorus is unforgettable.

“You only live once, so just live your life. Don’t you worry about tomorrow…”

This is easily my favourite song on the project, without question.

Zion (feat. Olamide)

The opening whistle immediately caught my attention, then I noticed how calm everything felt.

When I saw Olamide’s name on the tracklist, I expected a soft rap verse mixed with singing. Instead, the YBNL boss chose to sing throughout.

It wasn’t exactly what I hoped for. His entrance into the song felt a little forced, although he eventually settled into the groove. But the song itself talks about finding peace in someone who makes life feel lighter.

Someone who becomes your safe space.

The lyric:

“Zion is very far away, but when I’m with you, it’s like holiday,” beautifully captures that emotion. For me, it’s a decent collaboration, just not one I’ll rush back to though.

More Money

The introduction reminded me immediately of “Zion” with its whistles and handclips.

That wasn’t necessarily a good sign, but thankfully, the song improves as it progresses. The beat remains soft and relaxed while Teni delivers another thoughtful performance.

The biggest strength here is the message.

– Money can change lives.
– It can create opportunities.
– It can also destroy relationships and change people completely.

Teni reminds listeners never to lose themselves because of wealth.

The standout lyric says it all:

“Money can change everything. Just remember who you are.” It’s a good song, but then, it’s also one you’ll probably listen to once and move on.

HTGT (Here Today Gone Tomorrow)

The final track opens with soft piano before Teni immediately sings:

“Enjoy your life…”

At that moment, I couldn’t help but laugh.

“As how?” I asked myself. Yet the song quickly answers that question. Built around reggae influences, soft trumpet melodies and relaxed instrumentation, HTGT closes the album on exactly the same peaceful note it started.

Its message couldn’t be clearer.

– Life is unpredictable.
– Tomorrow isn’t promised.
– Appreciate every single day.

The chorus reminds listeners:

“Enjoy your life while you can breathe… We are here today and gone tomorrow.”

It’s not the kind of song you’ll put on repeat every day, but when the mood is right, it hits differently.

Final Verdict: Teni Delivers Exactly What She Promised and if you judge “The Wellness Package” by the number of club-ready songs it contains, you’ll probably miss its purpose completely.

This project was never designed to dominate parties. It was designed to slow people down, to make them reflect. To remind them that life moves quickly, peace matters, money isn’t everything, and tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.

And guess what? That’s exactly what Teni achieves.

Not every track reaches the same level, and a few songs feel more like bridges between stronger moments. But the consistency of the message makes the project feel complete rather than random.

And if there’s one song that perfectly captures everything Teni wanted to achieve, it’s Wuru Manya featuring Chike.

It isn’t just the best song on the project, it’s one of the finest songs Teni has released in recent times.

Personally, I’ll say this project is 8.6/10

Best Song: Wuru Manya (feat. Chike)

Most Thought-Provoking Song: Meditation

Most Underrated Song: HTGT (Here Today Gone Tomorrow)

Teni’s The Wellness Package isn’t an album for the club, rather, it’s an album for life.
